ACTION ALERT - Governor Newsom; Pardon Marisela Andrade

Email Governor Newsom to support Marisela and other survivors of human trafficking

Marisela Andrade is an immigrant survivor of human trafficking and domestic violence. After almost 15 years in CDCR, Marisela had her LWOP sentence commuted in 2018, and earned her parole in 2021. Instead of returning to family and community, Marisela was handed over to ICE. She has been in Immigration detention for 12 months fighting against deportation. If returned to Mexico, Marisela faces certain violence and death at the hands of the trafficking and drug networks that abused her for 13 years.

A pardon from California Governor Gavin Newsom is an important step in STOPPING DEPORTATION.

Please email Governor Newsom TODAY! The more messages he receives in one day, the better chance of Marisela’s application to be reviewed. Share this with your networks!

I am writing to support a PARDON for Ms. Marisela Andrade (CDCR#WA7304, A#074-816-783). Marisela is currently in immigration detention in Aurora, CO, facing deportation to Mexico, a country she left 27 years ago. Ms. Andrade faces possible torture and death at the hands of her former human trafficker’s family and network if returned to Mexico.

Continuing to incarcerate and punish Ms. Andrade with deportation and separation from her family does not make us safer as a state. I respectfully ask that you grant Ms. Andrade a pardon to prevent her unjust deportation and to allow her to remain in California.

    6. Click "next" and in the section titled "lastly, a few more details about yourself," you can provide whatever

information you wish here, if you want to provide your real information or a pseudonym. You just have to fill out

something in order to submit the form.

Thank you so much for voicing your support for Marisela. We encourage you to share this message among your own social networks so we can send as loud a message as possible to Governor Newsom and send a strong signal of support on behalf of Marisela and all survivors of human trafficking.
