July 21st - Join the Ella Baker Center for Virtual Mail Night

Virtual mail events are a key part of efforts to build community and provide support to those inside prisons and jails

Bimonthly on the third Monday of the month, the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights hosts a virtual mail night where attendees respond to letters from incarcerated people. July's virtual mail night is scheduled for Monday July 21st, from 530pm PT to 730pm PT.

During this virtual community event, we will respond to letters received from people inside prisons and jails in California, and across the country. We will be sending in legal resources, parole preparation packets, reentry help, and answers to people's questions. There will be an intro breakout room for new folks, and a problem-solving room for one-on-one support. Attendees can also plug into EBC Calls to Action before and after Mail Night.

Additionally, once you have attended at least one Mail Night you can respond to letters in your own time, outside of these scheduled Bimonthly Virtual Mail Nights. Please feel free to reach out to  policy@ellabakercenter.org if you have any questions regarding responding to letters between Mail Night events.
