REMINDER - Join Us on Zoom for the SB94 Community Launch TONIGHT
SB94 provides a ‘second look’ to Californians sentenced to death or serving life in prison without the possibility of parole

As a member of the DropLWOP Coalition, Felony Murder Elimination Project invites supporters to join us TONIGHT at 7pm Pacific Time to celebrate the launch of our new bill, Senate Bill 94 authored by Senator Dave Cortese, which would provide a ‘second look’ to Californians sentenced to death or serving life in prison without the possibility of parole. The bill would allow individuals to petition for judicial review on special circumstance offenses specified in Penal Code 190.2 committed before June 5, 1990, after they have served at least 20 years of their sentence.
All advocates and loved ones of people serving life without parole sentences are welcome to this event which will explain what SB94 does, why SB94 is written the way that it is, how this pushes our movement forward and what family members, loved ones and advocates of incarcerated people can do to pass this bill.
"Too many people are trapped in LWOP sentences that would not be given today - many of these same individuals have devoted themselves to rehabilitation and are now pillars of their communities. Allowing judges to review these cases is a modest step in seeking justice for people serving Life Without Parole."
-Daniel Trautfield, Felony Murder Elimination Project
